Hanna Dong
Owner Fyne FacesPermanent Make-Up & Microblading Artist
My name is Hanna, and I am the face behind Fyne Faces. I am a trained permanent makeup and microblading artist and have been self-employed since 2018.
Before starting my own business, I obtained my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Business Administration from the University of Gießen and Stuttgart.
Even back then, I knew I wanted to be independent, but I still had to find the right field for myself. After graduating, I took on a part-time job and began searching for a fulfilling activity that I would also enjoy.
From a young age, I have always loved drawing, especially manga. I also enjoyed sewing, repairing things, and being engaged with the beauty industry (at the age of 14, I even applied individual eyelash extensions myself 😂🙈). So, I had a starting point.
After attending various advanced training courses, taster sessions, and internships in the beauty industry, I discovered the world of cosmetic tattoos, also known as permanent makeup. I immediately enjoyed it because it combines art and craftsmanship. Additionally, I was able to help many people feel more comfortable in their own skin.
Due to the significant advancements in this field in recent years and the ability to achieve really great and natural-looking results, I decided to invest a lot of time, energy, and money in furthering my education and training. After working with numerous models, building a growing client base, and gaining experience, I was able to leave my part-time job behind.
I opened my first studio in Frankfurt and have been working in Berlin, specifically Prenzlauer Berg, since 2022. In addition to regular advanced training and attending trade fairs, I plan to pursue education in the field of medical pigmentation in the future. This includes procedures such as nipple reconstruction (after mastectomy) or scar camouflage (after accidents or surgeries).

I am Joanna, a trained and certified medical cosmetologist and makeup artist from Berlin.
For me, promoting healthy skin and enhancing natural beauty are paramount. This applies to both women and men. An individual and thorough consultation before each treatment is particularly important to me.
I specialize in the medical field, focusing on conditions such as adult acne, rosacea, perioral dermatitis, pigmentation spots, and wrinkles, using various techniques like acid peels, microneedling, and microdermabrasion. To stay up to date, I continuously educate myself in the areas of active ingredients, product ranges, and advanced cosmetic devices. I attend trade fairs, participate in conferences, and pursue further training opportunities.
After a year of research, I chose the high-quality products from Dermalogica. Dermalogica is cruelty-free, vegan, gluten-free, free from parabens and artificial fragrances and colors, and certified cruelty-free by Leaping Bunny and PETA. They place great emphasis on providing excellent and intensive training to their partners. I have achieved the highest level of training and am now proud to call myself an “Expert.”
